"I grew up in beautiful Sumatra until I was eight, then moved to a small nearby island with my younger brother. Surrounded by nature and the ocean, life was simple and full of adventure. Over the years, meeting travelers from all over the world inspired me to improve my English so I could connect and share experiences with them.
These encounters sparked a dream to share the beauty, culture, and adventure of Indonesia with others. Every tour I guide is done with care and passion. I don’t see guests as customers, but as friends. My goal is to take away your worries so you can fully enjoy every moment.
Life has an extra special meaning for me personally as well. I’m the proud dad of a 15-month-old son, and my family lives in Pacitan, East Java, about three hours from Jogjakarta. Pacitan is a hidden gem, popular with international travelers and surfers seeking peace, beautiful beaches, and an alternative to Bali.
I love being part of every traveler’s journey, participating in their experiences, sharing stories, and creating memories that last a lifetime.''
About us
In June 2025, I decided to take a leap and start Faisal in Jogja Tours. What began as helping a few travelers as taxi driver quickly turned into something much bigger. With the support of the Dutchies in Java community app, my tours spread like wildfire, and since then I’ve had the joy of guiding 1,000+ travelers through the wonders of Jogja.
For me, it’s never just about getting from A to B. It’s about sharing stories, laughing together, and making every trip feel like you’re traveling with a local friend. I love showing people not only the famous highlights, but also the small authentic touches that make Jogja so special.
Now, Faisal in Jogja Tours has grown into a team of ambitious and motivated tour guides. We work with high standards and the same passion to give every traveler a smooth, personal, and unforgettable experience.

Founder & Owner
Meet Faisal, 41. With a background in the oil and gas industry and later in a hospital, he discovered how rewarding it is to care for people and make them happy. This experience became a key part of the philosophy behind Faisal in Jogja Tour, where the focus is always on making every guest feel welcome and creating memorable experiences.
Hari
Driver & Guide
Meet Hari, 28, born into a family with Sumatran and Javanese roots. He moved to Java during his teenage years and has built solid experience in the tourism industry in Jogjakarta. With strong English communication skills, Hari has now joined the Faisal in Jogja team, ready to make your journey smooth, fun, and memorable.

Meet Dede, 43, originally from Palembang, South Sumatra, with Javanese roots. With extensive experience in tourism and hospitality as both a hotelier and driver, he offers excellent English skills and a warm, professional approach. Meet Ricky, 31, from Sumatra, who arrived in Jogjakarta in 2014 and learned its culture and tourism. With a background as an information specialist and driver, he brings excellent English skills and a relaxed, welcoming approach. Meet Thorik, a 44-year-old driver and tour guide from Probolinggo with a warm Javanese background. With over five years of experience, he guides guests to East Java’s top spots like Mount Bromo, Tumpak Sewu, and Ijen Crater, creating safe and unforgettable travel experiences.
